An upcoming black-and-white supernatural short film inspired by Igbo cosmology.

I have recently completed the screenplay for REMAIN, my third film, an independent supernatural short currently in development, with production planned for 2027/2028

Rooted in the Igbo concept of Ogbanje, REMAIN brings together psychological drama, spirituality and the supernatural to explore the fragile boundaries between the physical and spiritual worlds.

The Story

The film tells the story of a woman who finds herself drawn back to the spirit world that once claimed her. As the boundaries between memory, loss, and the unseen begin to dissolve, she is faced with one final choice: return to the life she has reclaimed, or remain where she truly belongs

REMAIN explores grief, identity, memory, loss and the enduring ties between the living and the dead.

Exploring Igbo Cosmology Through Film
Inspired by the Igbo concept of Ogbanje, traditionally associated with a spirit child believed to move between the worlds of the living and the dead, REMAIN draws on elements of Igbo spirituality and cosmology.

A Black-and-White Visual World

REMAIN is conceived entirely in black and white. The intention is to allow the imagery, silences and emotional experiences of the central character to carry the story.

Bringing REMAIN to Life

Having completed the screenplay, I am excited to begin the next stage of bringing REMAIN to the screen in 2027/2028

The film is currently in development, and I am open to conversations with potential production partners, collaborators and individuals interested in supporting independent filmmaking.

Further updates, including production developments, casting announcements and behind-the-scenes news, will be shared through the film’s IMDb page.
